The title of my new blog is a line from my favorite song (Matchbook Romance "Promise") and this line has always stuck out to me. Memories cannot replace my wishes and dreams. I'm so grateful that I have some amazing memories though (Bobby thinks my memory is a little TOO good LOL). I never thought I'd be a blogger but over the last couple of years life has changed dramatically. I keep thinking that I want to start journaling. I even have an entire page of topics to write about! But I still have yet to purchase an actual journal. You know, a nice fancy one that will last for generations with my riveting tales of life and worldly observations. Yeah, I know I'm just THAT interesting.
But back to the title of my blog....this is more for me as it is for others to read. It's about my memories, wishes, dreams and I'm sure will be filled with the little things my family is doing. My hope is that it will hold me more accountable to get some things written down for my kids. Losing my dad has been one of the most difficult things for my family to deal with and also leaves me with so many things I wish I could ask him. So I'm being proactive and writing down so many things that the kids always ask me about. Especially the escapades with my little brothers when we were growing up. The kids always comment that their life just isn't nearly as fun as when I was growing up. Little do they know the memories they are making right now will be just as sweet for them as the ones I have.
So that's all I have for now.....we'll see how this blogging thing really goes, though. Thanks for reading!
